Privacy policy

Lapela is a personal stylist app. To put outfits together and show how they look on you, it needs some information about you, photos included. This page explains which, what for, who it passes through, and how you delete all of it.
What we collect
Only what the app needs to work:
- Account: your email or your Apple account identifier. If you sign in with Apple and hide your email, we only get the address Apple creates.
- Your full-body photo, if you send one. It's optional.
- Reference screenshots and photos of pieces you own, when you send them in the chat.
- Your conversation with the stylist: your first answers, messages, the style it built, the outfits, what you liked or didn't and the reason you wrote.
- The generated images of the clothes on you.
- Purchases: which credit pack, when, and your balance. Apple handles payment; we never see your card.
- Your phone's notification address, if you allow notifications.
- Server logs, such as IP address and request times, to keep the service running and safe.
What we use it for
To build your style and outfits, generate the images of the clothes on you, keep track of your credits, tell you when an image is ready, prevent abuse and answer when you write to us.
We don't sell your data. We don't use it for advertising. We don't train AI models on your photos or conversations.
Who it passes through
We use a few providers to run the app. Each gets only what its part needs:
- Supabase: database, photo storage and sign-in.
- Vercel: the app's server and this website.
- Anthropic (Claude): reads your messages, answers and reference screenshots to build your style and outfits.
- fal.ai: receives your photo and the outfit description to generate the image on you.
- Apple and RevenueCat: process and record credit purchases.
- Expo: delivers notifications to your phone.
- The email service that sends your sign-in code.
Where it's stored
These providers' servers are mainly in the United States, so your data is transferred there when you use Lapela, with the safeguards required by Brazil's data protection law (LGPD).
Your photos are kept in private storage. The app only shows them through temporary links that expire.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account at any time in the app, under You → Delete my account. That immediately deletes your photos, screenshots, conversation, style, outfits, generated images and credit balance.
Server logs and backups are deleted automatically after a short period.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, a copy in an open format, deletion, and who it was shared with. Write to contact@lapela.app and we'll answer within 15 days.
Photos of other people and minors
Lapela is for people 18 and over. Send only photos of yourself. Reference screenshots are for showing a style; don't send photos of minors.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects your data, we'll tell you in the app before the change applies.
